Creating the life you love

“It’s inspiring to see so many women around the world redefining their ideal work/ life balance. It still feels like a dream to be able to design for a living within communities I am so passionate about — this makes work fun, inspirational and forward-looking”, says Noel. Asmar Equestrian Founder Noel Asmar found balance and harmony amidst a busy family life and career by starting her own company. Initially, she worked from home allowing her to be more involved with raising her three children. Her hubby provided her with the flexibility to do both well.

Today, we take you to the other side of the globe to another young woman who was once struggling to find balance and harmony in her life.

Nearly 14 years ago Amateur Rider Eloise Stevenson was living an hour outside of London, England commuting into the city by train each day. She was rushing from work to the barn, trying to get enough time with her horse before the sun set. Enjoying these moments of equestrian passion in her life was a daily struggle.

Things all changed for Eloise on a what was supposed to be a holiday trip to New Zealand.

Falling in love with the stunning beauty of the country with its iron sand beaches, lush green meadows, and most importantly the people that surrounded her, Eloise decided to stay and make Auckland, New Zealand her new home.

It’s been a balancing act of hard work and passion, but with the help of her husband Adam, the two of them built their dream life together for their young family.

Living on a 10 acre lifestyle block in a colonial house they renovated themselves, Eloise and Adam fill their days with creative family outings for their two young daughters Esmé and Georgette. From picnics at the beach, riding and splashing in the water to evenings in the barn to giving bedtime kisses to the horses.

When she is able to spend time with her equine partner, Eloise can often be seen sneaking out the back gate in the early hours to go on an adventure down to the beach or to the trails through the neighbouring fields.

Her advice to anyone looking to create a life they love?

“Identify the life you want to live and seek it out. Be prepared to work hard and search for it.”
